What is collected

If you subscribe, your email address, the date, and which page you subscribed from. If you send a speaking enquiry or use the contact form, the fields you complete on that form. If you request the free book preview, your first name and email address. Nothing else is asked for and nothing is inferred.

Why, and on what basis

Subscriptions are on your consent, recorded when you confirm through the email you receive. That second click is the consent record. Enquiries are processed so I can reply to you, which is the reason you sent them. Book preview details are processed so the requested download can be provided.

Where it goes

Subscriptions are held by the email service that sends the newsletter. Enquiries and book preview requests are held in a private workspace used to track conversations and requests. Both are outside Singapore, which means personal data is transferred across borders under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, with comparable protection required of those processors by contract. No data is sold, rented or shared for anyone else's marketing.

Analytics

There is no analytics on this site. No page counter, no cookies, no advertising pixels, and no identifier that follows you between sites. There is nothing here to consent to, which is why there is no consent banner.

How long it is kept

Subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Enquiries and book preview requests are kept for three years so I can pick up a conversation or request where it stopped, then deleted.

Your requests

Write to indhran@indhran.com to see what is held about you, correct it, or have it deleted. I do that within 30 days and I do not ask why.

Indhran Seghar, Singapore. This site is the personal property of one person and is separate from AIR APAC, which publishes its own policies at airapac.org.
